Orchard filled region in the Mekong Delta

Highlights with Student tour Vietnam: Orchard filled region is the specialty of the southern provinces with all year-round lush fruit gardens. These orchards offer different fruits depending on season and time. Summer is usually the main fruit season attracting most tourist. For many tropical fruits, the season is very short because they cannot be picked green and they don't last long in storage where they quickly loose their aroma. After they are picked, the fruits are transported on small boats to floating markets where they are sold to wholesale dealers.
